Northern Cali camping, honeymoon escape, help?
Need some place that doesn’t require reservations, is close by water (lake, river, doesn’t matter), very forested, with fire pits/grills and the camp site has to be secluded. Or enough for a honeymoon escape. Some place that’s not too far from the market.
I’m camping with a tent and I would like to park the car close by our tent. Hiking and trails is a plus if not better have a view.
Please help by naming the camping ground and a brief review of it. I’m going July 25th and staying for a week. Thx.
Check out Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park near Crescent City. There’s a couple of campgrounds there right along the Smith River, and it’s a beautiful area nestled in beautiful redwood groves.
