Question about the Blair Witch Project (the first one – see below)?
I like psychological horror films better than “creature” or “gore” films, because they’re just scarier to me. In fact, I sometimes wish that horror filmmakers didn’t show (or only briefly showed) the “creature” or whatever it was that was terrorizing the main characters. I also have been camping and thus know what it’s like to be outside, deep in the woods, late at night, in a tent. Keeping all this in mind…would this movie scare me? I’ve never seen it before, and I always hear mixed reviews. Would I be able to identify with the characters, and be able to understand their fear, so to speak? I’m just curious as to what you all think.
Many people have debated wether it was a good movie or not. I really liked it. The scaryness of it was enhanced by the fact that you never see what is terrorizing the three film students in the woods.
A lot of people complained that the camera work was crappy becaue it was a documentary and people in theaters were getting seasick…I never had any problems. The movie has an awesome website too.
